It's Time to Make Polluters Pay!

We need the California Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act (SB 684/AB 1243) to make polluters pay for the escalating costs of climate change in California.

Taxpayers and families should not bear the full cost for the climate damages caused by big polluters. The costs of the climate crisis combined with the affordability crisis are stretching Californians to breaking point. Californians have paid enough.

The Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act ensures the largest fossil fuel polluters, who have done the most to cause the climate crisis, pay their fair share for the damages they knowingly inflicted on taxpayers and working families.

Without this bill, Californians will continue to bear the full burden of climate-related costs in California. 

We urgently need the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act to bring down costs while ensuring California has the resources to respond to compounding climate catastrophes, protect workers from climate threats, build climate resilient neighborhoods, prepare for future climate harms, and accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels.
