AB 525 – Assembly Ultilies and Energy

Offshore Wind Energy Planning for a Clean Energy Future

AB 525 will accelerate the state's path towards a 100% clean energy future by planning for the development of offshore wind energy, which can create thousands of green jobs in California. The bill does this by requiring the California Energy Commission to set goals for 2030 and 2045 to generate new offshore wind energy.
