AB 1000 – Assembly Natural Resources Committee

Warehouse Good Neighbor Policy

Warehouses are being built right next to homes and surrounding schools, and the deadly diesel truck pollution that comes with it is creating a crisis for many communities, including the Inland Empire. AB 1000 would establish a minimum distance between warehouses to sensitive receptors like schools, hospitals, and homes. The bill would allow these projects to be sited closer to sensitive receptors if the project meets a set of fleet electrification standards for all vehicle types to spur pollution reductions.
