State Water Board Emergency Interim Relief
AB 460 would have granted the State Water Resources Control Board authority to act immediately to halt illegal or wasteful uses of water that harm the environment or violate water rights and increase penalties. AB 460 was greatly needed, as the current status quo model takes weeks to allow emergency intervention, time communities don’t always have when it comes to their access to water.
