Creates a more fair and inclusive democracy by ensuring that Californians on parole can fully participate in our democracy, ensuring that everyone regardless of their past involvement with the criminal legal system can have their voices heard. Assembly Constitutional Amendment (ACA) 6, which required voter approval, became Proposition 17 on the November 2020 General Election ballot and was approved by voters, giving people on parole the right to vote.
