AB 2237 – Assembly Transportation Committee

Climate Accountability for Transportation Projects

With transportation as the leading source of carbon emissions in the state, California will not be able to achieve the necessary emissions reductions required to avoid the worst impacts of the climate crisis without significant changes to how transportation infrastructure is planned, funded, and built. AB 2237 would have ensured that all state and local tax dollars would only be spent on transportation projects that were aligned with state climate goals.
