AB 2133

Accelerated Climate Targets

The latest climate science is clear: In order to avoid the worst impacts of the climate crisis we must rapidly reduce emissions even faster than we originally thought because we failed to reduce our emissions to date quickly enough. AB 2133 would have increased California’s 2030 greenhouse gas reduction goals from 40% up to 55% below the 1990 level by the year 2030, in line with the latest climate science, to put California on track to reduce emissions at the pace and scale needed to avoid climate catastrophe.
