Reducing Plastic Waste from Online Shopping
In 2020 alone, online purchases generated nearly 2.9 billion pounds of plastic worldwide, littering the environment, increasing disposal costs, and overflowing landfills. AB 2026 would have spurred a much-needed shift to get rid of unnecessary plastic packaging from online shopping by shifting to more reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging for online shopping.
