As chair of Senate Energy, Utilities and Communications committee, Senator Bradford has too often shown that he sides with interests of industry over the community’s interest. This is evident in the significant amendments he forced onto the Neighborhood Decarbonization Act. He was also responsible for stopping pro-environment bills including a bill to ensure local governments are planning for electrification and a bill to not allow big utilities to use ratepayer dollars on lobbying.

As of December 2024, this legislator is no longer in office.

The district will now be represented by:

Laura Richardson

Party: Democrat

District: SD-35
